Delta T’s Solution for the Transportation of Temperature Sensitive Goods

  • Security during power cuts! Any products stored inside the TempShells that are kept in a refrigerator will maintain the exact temperature. Even during a power cut the TempShells will then continue to maintain that temperature
  • Refrigerated vehicles are not required, cutting costs and increasing freight forwarding
  • The exact temperature is maintained i.e. 4 °C and not 0 °C as is the case when using ice packs
  • Your products are not damaged when in contact with the TempShells which can be the case when using dry ice for temperatures of–18 °C

The TempShells and TempFrames developed by delta T is filled with a special phase change material (PCM). This non-toxic fluid has to be charged with thermal energy to crystallise it. At the point when the PCM is completely crystallised the TempShell maintains its temperature at melting point (Ts). This amount of stored energy, known as crystallising enthalpy, may then be used to keep any material at a constant temperature. This process functions at any ambient condition. delta T has the technology to determine the melting point of PCMs within a range of –30 and +50°C, depending on the temperature needed to keep your product intact. All of the components to the system are modular, which enables you to transport small to large volumes (5ml to 100’s of litres*) for transportation periods of a few hours to 126 hours*.TempShells simply have to be pre-cooled to the required temperature until the non-toxic fluid is solid, which can easily be seen through the transparent casing. Your products are then kept at the required constant temperature during transportation. Each TempShell is fitted with a led crystal thermometer, which indicates the actual temperature. The TempShells and TempFrames can be easily identified due to colour co-ordination. When stacked, a modular system is created allowing for small and large volume transportation. TempShell standard temperatures available; -30 °C, -18 °C, 4 °C and 22 °C.
