This kit is recommended for users who are working in the field, with limited access to cold storage and laboratory equipment.

The Field Sequencing Kit generates sequencing libraries from extracted gDNA in 10 minutes using a simple two-step protocol. At the heart of the kit is a transposase which simultaneously cleaves template molecules and attaches tags to the cleaved ends. Rapid Sequencing Adapters are then added to the tagged ends.

The kit is optimized to be stable at ambient temperatures for extended periods, with many of the reagents supplied in lyophilized form. The stability of the components in this kit enables it to be highly portable, making it ideal for use in the field where access to cold storage may be limited.

The workflow is PCR-free and therefore removes PCR bias and retains information about base modifications, which can be analysed using tools developed in the Nanopore Community.

Delivery information: Flow cells and kits are shipped together at 2 to 8 °C. Upon receipt, please place the product in a long-term storage location. The kit can be stored at up to 30 °C for one month unopened, or at 2 to 8 °C for three months unopened.
